Alycia Cooper
Whenever Alycia Cooper appears on the scene, audiences clamor to know, “Who’s that lady?” Alycia is an actress and stand-up comic who has been acting since the age of 5 at Howard University’s Children’s Theater in Washington DC. She’s since acted in such films as “12 Angry Men and Women,” and “Knocked Down.” She was in the pilot episode of “Raising Hope,” and has been featured on “The Parker’s,” and “Grounded for Life.” She’s opened for and ghost written for some of the biggest names in the business. In 2004, Essence Magazine showcased her as “One to Watch,” which she certainly is. You can watch her in the upcoming season as a semi-finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing 2015.
In 2014, Alycia won the prestigious comedy contest called, “The Ladies of Laughter” aka “LOL” in NYC, beating out hundreds of contestants. From there, she booked several television shows, and was given regular spots at The World Famous Comedy Store because Pauly Shore, part owner of the club, was in the audience. She is now doing huge theater shows on the “LOL” tour.
The biggest benefit to being an entertainer to Alycia is being able to perform overseas for our men and women in uniform. She has been to Japan, Korea, Guam, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Djibouti Africa. This gave her the opportunity to entertain and meet some of the most courageous Americans in the world.
